Full or complete dentures are removable oral prosthetics that are custom-created to replace a full arch of missing teeth in either the upper or lower jaw. They consist of gum-colored bases that support replacement teeth made to match your natural teeth. At Shoreline Smiles, we offer immediate, conventional, and implant-supported dentures.

• Immediate Dentures:Immediate dentures are placed in your mouth right after removing any remaining teeth. However, your muscles and ligaments will readjust, and your gums and bone will shrink as you heal, so your immediate dentures need to be relined and adjusted for long-term use. The reline will restore ideal fit and function after the healing process is completed. The main advantage of immediate dentures is that you won’t need to go without teeth for a single day.
• Conventional Dentures:Conventional dentures are created from impressions of your mouth after removing any remaining teeth, and the area heals. That typically takes 6 to 12 weeks. Waiting for healing allows us to work in the subtle details of your mouth and bite, providing the best fit and function.
• Implant-Supported Dentures: Implant-supported dentures, or overdentures, draw on the benefits of traditional dentures and implant dentistry, providing an excellent balance between value, function, and comfort. Rather than relying on facial muscles and suction to keep them in place, your restorations are securely anchored to a number of dental implants, providing unmatched stability, function, and durability.
